Neuroblastoma?

Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that begins in the embryonic cells which normally develop into parts of our nervous system. It occurs almost exclusively in children under the age of 5 and is one of the Big 3 childhood cancers, behind Leukemia and Brain Tumours. It is responsible for about 12-15% of paediatric cancer deaths and has the lowest observed survival rate of a mere 20%. In Canada every year, approximately 50-75 children are diagnosed.

Neuroblastoma is one of the most expensive cancers to treat and presently has NO effective drug treatment for high-risk Neuroblastoma.
